Mahmudur Rahman Manna, convenor of Nagarik Oikya said, "BNP first said, vote within three months, people did not like it." After saying, give it in six months, people didn't like that either. He said this at a discussion meeting titled 'Students' Uprising 2024: Public Aspirations-Crisis and Prospects' at Dhaka Reporters Unity on Friday (September 20) afternoon.
The convener of the Nagotik Oikya said, we have to be vigilant. The change that people expected in the administrative system is not happening. I can't think that those who are in power now are crooks or brokers of Awami League.
He said that the advisers of the Interim government have not done politics despite being successful in their respective professions and they have no idea about politics. The government is filing cases in droves. Taking many cases making arrests. The cases do not last.
Jonaid Saki said, the events we are seeing after the uprising are dangerous. These are social wounds caused by fascism. The allies of fascism are trying in various ways to thwart the uprising. Conspiracy is underway. It is the government's responsibility to stop the conspirators.
BNP Standing Committee member Begum Selima Rahman was present as the chief guest in the meeting organized by the Bangladesh Sangsiktkarmi Sangha. Besides, Bangladesh Labor Party Chairman Dr. Mostafizur Rahman Iran, Chief Coordinator of Gana Sanghati Andolon Jonaid Saki, Acting President of Sanskritik Karmi Shangha AM Hasanuzzaman and General Secretary Khandkar Shah Alam also spoke in the meeting.
