Commenting that there is no alternative to the political government, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said that if the election is delayed, it is a threat to democracy. By doing that, Awami League people will try to blame the BNP by doing misdeeds.
He said, no change will be sustainable by keeping accomplices of genocide. There is no change in the country without a push on the neck because the country's institutions are not strong.
Mirza Fakhrul said these things during an exchange of views with journalists on Saturday (September 21). He said, politics has to be dealt with.
BNP Secretary General said that the unrest on various issues after taking charge of the interim government is not an isolated incident.
Mirza Fakhrul said, the friends of Awami League are still sitting in the important offices of the government. No good can be achieved by placing the student-mob killers at different levels of the government. Dictatorship's minions are creating one incident after another so that the government cannot function comfortably.
Urging the interim government to hold regular discussions with political parties to solve the crisis, Mirza Fakhrul said that discussions with political parties are necessary to meet the expectations of the people of the country. Reform should not be imposed; it should come from everyone's opinion.
Pointing out that trying to depoliticize the process is not good for the country, he said that if the constitution is to be amended, people's opinion should be given priority and otherwise there will be questions about it.
Mirza Fakhrul said that "Begum Khaleda Zia is not healthy" even after returning home, doctors do not think that she is fit to take such a long journey. That is why there is a delay in taking her abroad.
