Dialogue with Chief Adviser: BNP delegation in Jamuna

A delegation led by BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has gone to Jamuna at the invitation of Interim government Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus to participate in the dialogue on reforms.

A delegation led by BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir entered Jamuna at around 2:15 pm on Saturday (October 5).

A source of the party said that BNP will sit in dialogue with Muhammad Yunus with the proposal of a quick election. In the meeting, the party will recommend fundamental reforms to ensure the reorganization of the Election Commission, free administration of dictatorship and independent judiciary.

The top leaders of the party said that BNP is interested in new political practices based on consensus, keeping the motto of student revolution in front.

On September 11, as part of the state reform, the interim government formed 6 commissions to reform the Election Commission, Police Administration, Judiciary, Anti-corruption, Public Administration and Constitution. Welcoming this initiative, BNP formed 6 reform committees under the leadership of party secretary general to formulate reform strategy and outline.

Two days after the fall of the Awami League government on August 5, an interim government was formed under the leadership of Nobel laureate Professor Muhammad Yunus. He announced the formation of six reform commissions in his address to the nation on October 1.

Among them, Dr. Badiul Alam Majumder has been assigned to the Electoral System Reform Commission, Safar Raj Hossain to the Police Reform Commission, Justice Shah Abu Naeem Mominur Rahman to the Judiciary Reform Commission, Dr. Iftekharuzzaman to the Anti-Corruption Reform Commission, Abdul Mueed Chowdhury to the Public Administration and Professor Ali Riaz to the Constitution Reform Commission.
