Jatiya Party Chairman GM Quader said, it is important to control prices first of all. Price control needs top priority. On the one hand, daily necessities are going beyond purchasing power due to inflation; on the other hand, the imposition of new VAT on hundreds of goods and services has made people's lives miserable.
The Jatiya Party Chairman made this comment in a statement on Monday (January 20).
He also said, there is a lot of talk about elections or reforms. It seems that no one is thinking about people's lives and livelihoods. The queue in front of TCB trucks is getting bigger day by day. Now, countless people are standing in line for hours to buy rice and pulses at low prices even wearing pants and shirts. Since the supply is less than the demand, many are returning home empty-handed with great difficulty, unable to buy products from the trucks.
He said, buying fish, meat, milk and eggs has become a nightmare for the common man. Parents are unable to fulfill the expectations of their children and relatives. The common people are unable to get necessary treatment, unable to buy life-saving medicines. In such a reality, the most important task of the government is to bring the prices of goods within the purchasing power of the common people.
We do politics for the welfare of the people of the country. We will continue to speak about the sufferings of the people. The Jatiya Party Chairman also hoped that the government would take effective initiatives in this regard soon.
