Vice Chancellor (VC) of Jagannath University (JNU)) Dr. Mizanur Rahman has informed that he would relinquish the post of VC if he gets the post of the chairman of Awami Jubo League (AJL) in the upcoming national council.
In a talk- show of a private TV channel he disclosed his desire during talks.
Dr. Mizanur Rahman told the leading media of the country that, ‘although he is the VC of JNU but he is also the number one presidium member of AJL. AJL is the organization of my identity. I suffered lot for this organization. Now the organization is passing through crisis. If I am given the responsibility to recover its lost image .I will heartily accept it.’
Regarding contesting for the post of chairman he said that he would not seek any post voluntarily. If Awami League president and the Prime Minister give me the responsibility then I will relinquish the VC post and will take the post of chairman of AJL.
