The SAFF women's football team has started its journey to BFF from Shahjalal International Airport. They boarded an open-top bus. Thousands of people have come down to the streets of Dhaka to welcome them.
The champions set foot on Dhaka soil at 2:15 pm today. Then Bangladesh coach Peter Butler and captain Sabina Khatun spoke to the media. After that, the footballers boarded the bus, this time their destination is Bangladesh Football Federation.
This bus carrying the women's football team will take the elevated expressway. Then it will come in front of FDC and get off at Sat rasta. From there, it will take the Moghbazar flyover. It will get off at Kakrail and go through Paltan, Notre Dame College and Shapla Chattar before finally reaching BFF Bhaban.
The remaining formalities will be held at BFF Bhaban. More supporters are present there. Sports adviser Asif Mahmud Sajeeb Bhuiyan is scheduled to receive them there.
Bangladesh women's team has won the SAFF Championship title for the second consecutive time. Bangladesh maintained its record of winning the trophy by defeating Nepal 2-1 in Kathmandu last Wednesday night.
