Sharing Eid Happiness with Underprivileged Children At Eastern University

A program titled ‘Sharing Eid Happiness with the Underprivileged Children’ held on Tuesday (May 21) at the seminar hall of Eastern University. At the dhanmondi campus, the program was arranged by Social Welfare club (EUSOWCL) of the university.

At the program, 100 underprivileged children received new clothes and food from the University. The program was aimed at sharing happiness with those who are unable to cherish the festivity.

The members of EUSOWCL started this humanitarian operation from the beginning of the month of Ramadan with a very clear and transparent message to all Board of Trustee Members, Faculties and Officials of Eastern University that everybody is whole heartedly welcomed to donate for the poor children to so that they can celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr with happiness. The initiative was greatly appreciated as it encompasses the extracurricular activities of the students and excels their commitment for the betterment of the society by being active in various humanitarian projects.

Honorable Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Shahid Akhtar Hossain was present on the occasion as Chief guest and Honorable Treasurer Mr. A.S Mahmud was present as Special Guest. Among others Professor Dr. Ashraf Hossain, Director, IQAC, Dewan Amana Sultana, Controller of Examination, Mr. Salman Haider, Director, Career Service and International Affairs, Bitan Bhattacharya, Assistant Professor of English and Md Sohel Rana, Assistant Director, Office of Students Affairs were present on the occasion. Associate Professor Dr. Sharmin Islam coordinated the program.
