ISPAB EC committee attains a great success

The incumbent Executive committee of Internet Service Provider Association of Bangladesh (ISPAB) has attained a great success for the organization in last four years.

The elected EC committee, led by Chief Executive Officer of Amber IT Aminul Hakim, has been performing duty with sincerity after the election in 2015. The next election of the organization will be held on July 6 this year.

Meanwhile, election fiesta is underway as two panels—Team United and Team Catalyst--are vying in the polls for electing 13 members for the EC committee.

Incumbent President Aminul Hakim said, “The EC committee tried heart and soul for the betterment of the organization and our success rate is very significant.”

“The incumbent EC committee has taken different successful initiatives. We have ensured five percent VAT for all types of operators--BSCCL, ITC, IIG and NTTN--of Internet value chain in coordination with the VAT of ISP and applied for new NTTN license forming a consortium name Songjog Network Limited, which is now under consideration of the government,” he said.

He said, “The ISP has been given approval to provide IPTV service and we have brought approval for IPTSP to use Mobile Dialer.”
Apart from this, the incumbent EC committee has taken different initiatives for the betterment of the internet service providers as well as its customers.

The current EC committee also applied for a new NIX license by forming an ISPAB trust and they have taken initiative to make the organization more effective and speedy by including country’s all ISP license holders (nationwide, zonal category A, B and C). The most experience in the sector Aminul Hakim is leading the ‘Team United’ and ‘Team Catalyst’ is being led by Saiful Islam Siddiqui.

In this context, Aminul Hakim said, “The Team United has been formed with experienced and new members and every candidate is tested to make the ISPAB successful.”
