Actor K.S Feroz passes away

Renowned actor K.S Firoz, is no more. He breathed his last at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in the capital at 8:20 am on Wednesday (September 9). He was 76 years old.

K.S Firoz had been suffering from pneumonia for several days. He recently went to the ICDDRB to get a pneumonia injection. After returning from there, he got fever.

He was admitted to a hospital with fever for a few days. When his condition worsened, he was admitted to CMH on Tuesday (September 8). He was kept in life support after admission. He died while undergoing treatment there.

The village home of this talented actor is in Mashang village of Uzirpur in Barisal. However, he was born in Lalbagh, Dhaka. K.S Firoz's acting journey started with stage drama. He got involved in group ‘Theater’ and started acting. He acted in the plays 'Sat Ghater Kanakari', 'King Lier' and 'Rakkhasi' from this group.

K.S Firoz first acted on TV in the play 'Dip Tabuo Jwale' written by Dilara Zaman's husband Shafiuzzaman and produced by Zaman Ali Khan. Dolly Ibrahim was her co actor.

K.S Firoz also acted in a few films. His first movie was Lawarish. He acted in acclaimed films like Abu Sayyid's 'Sankhanad', 'Banshi', Murad Parvez's 'Chandragrahan' and 'Brihannala'.

Apart from acting, K.S Firoz also had a colorful career. In 1967, K.S Feroze joined the army in the commissioned rank. He retired from the army of Major in 1977. Before that, he got married to Madhavi on November 1, 1974. Nadia, Sadia and Rabia Jahan Firoz are the three daughters of K.S.Feroz.
