Director Ananya Mamun and actor Shahin Mridha sent to jail
Dhaka Metropolitan Detective Police (DB) has arrested film director Ananya Mamun and actor Shaheen Mridha in a case filed under the Pornography Act for demeaning police. When they were later produced in the Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge's Court, the judge ordered them to be sent to jail.
Ananya Mamun and Shaheen Mridha were arrested at midnight on Thursday (December 24).
DB police inspector Abul Kalam Azad, the investigating officer of the case, produced them in court at noon on Friday (December 25). The plaintiff in the case, is the police inspector of the DMP Cyber Crime Unit Nasirul Amin.
It is learned that in a scene of the movie 'Nawab LLB', a rape victim was seen going to the police station to file a case. In that scene, a police SI (played by Shaheen Mridha) asked various questions about the rape of the woman. The police objected to that scene. The result is Mamun in jail.
Incidentally, the movie 'Nawab LLB' was released on December 16 in an app called 'I Theater'. Half of the movie was released that day. The other half will be released on January 1. The film starred Shakib Khan, Mahiya Mahi, Archita Sperchia and Shahiduzzaman Selim in the lead roles. The script and story of the movie is written by the director Ananya Mamun, produced by Celebrity Productions.
