Israel opened the way to supply relief to Gaza at the threat of Biden!
Israel has announced the opening of three routes for uninterrupted relief supplies to Gaza. However, it was not clear when these humanitarian routes would be opened.
The announcement came hours after US President Joe Biden's phone call with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Thursday (March 4).
In the phone conversation, Biden made it clear to Netanyahu that the United States will be forced to change its policy on Gaza if it does not provide security for Palestinian civilians and aid workers.
The British media BBC reports that the Erez Gate in northern Gaza will be temporarily reopened for the first time since the start of the war. In addition, access to the Kerem Shalom crossing will be allowed to send more aid from the port of Ashdod and Jordan.
Israel's prime minister's office said the increased aid will alleviate the humanitarian crisis and is critical to ensuring the continuation of the war and achieving goals, The Times of Israel reported.
The US National Security Council welcomed Israel's plan to increase aid flows to Gaza. U.S. officials have called for quick access to relief supplies.
White House National Security Council spokesman Adrienne Watson warned that US policy on Gaza will be determined by Israel's immediate actions.
He expressed hope that the coming days would see a significant increase in humanitarian aid to reach civilians in dire need across Gaza.
