Bangladesh-India relations will not be affected: Jaiswal
New Delhi reiterated that India-Bangladesh relations are very deep and strong. Randhir Jaiswal, spokesperson of the country's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said this in response to a question from journalists at the weekly briefing of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of India on Thursday (March 4).
He said that the scope of Bangladesh-India relations is very deep and strong. Its scope is everywhere in the economy. Trade, investment, development, communication – all spheres of relationship have spread. Human to human contact is also increasing. There is no aspect of life where the relationship between the two countries cannot be found.
Emphasizing the dynamics of the partnership, spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said the relationship is vibrant. This relationship between the two countries will remain like this in the future.
Several top opposition leaders in Bangladesh have openly supported the program of boycotting Indian products. Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal did not respond to the question whether there was any discussion with Bangladesh on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or whether there was a shortage in other Indian exports due to the boycott.
However, sources in the Ministry of External Affairs have confirmed that India is not considering the boycott of its products in Bangladesh.
