WB chief Minister Mamata sends gifts for Sheikh Hasina on her birthday
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has sent gifts on the occasion of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's 74th birthday.
The gifts were sent to the Prime Minister's Office through the Benapole check post on Monday (September 28) evening.
Confirming the matter, BM Jamal Hossain, Minister (Political) of the Bangladesh Deputy High Commission in Kolkata, said that West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee sent gifts to their office wishing the Prime Minister a happy birthday. They immediately sent the gift to the Prime Minister's Office through Benapole port.
It is learned that Bangladesh has deep friendship and trade relations with neighboring India. Happiness and sorrow have always extended the hand of friendship in cooperation from one country to another as a neighboring country. The gift was sent from India to the Prime Minister on her birthday.
Benapole Immigration Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Ahsan Habib said West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has sent some gift items to the Prime Minister. He learned that a representative of the High Commissioner had left for Dhaka in the evening with the gifts.
