Finance Ministry to hold view exchange meeting on stimulus package
The Ministry of Finance is going to organize a series of view exchange meetings on the implementation of the incentive package of Tk. 1 lakh 20 thousand 153 crore taken by the government to tackle Corona.
This information was given in the press release of the Ministry of Finance on Monday (November 23). According to the press release, the finance division will hold three separate meetings on November 26, December 3 and December 10.
The theme of the first view exchange will be 'Sustaining Employment and Restoring the Overall Demand and Supply of the Economy'. Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi will be the chief guest.
The theme of the second view exchange will be 'Expansion of Social Security and Ensuring Food Security'. The chief guest will be the Minister of Agriculture. Abdur Razzak. The second meeting will be held on December 3.
The last and third view exchange will be held on December 10. The theme of the third view exchange will be 'Employment and Revival of Rural Economy'. Planning Minister MA Mannan will be the chief guest.
According to the press release, the government has set a short, medium and long term overall approach under the direct supervision and direction of the Prime Minister to address the crisis arising out of Covid-19 and revive the damaged economic activities for speedy economic recovery. Under this, 21 incentive packages worth Tk. 120153 crore have been announced for social security and economic recovery, the implementation of which is currently underway.
