‘Build fortress of awareness against Corona from house to house’- Quader
Awami League General Secretary and Minister for Road Transport and Bridges Obaidul Quader has called for building a stronghold of awareness from house to house to curb the aggressive form of the pandemic coronavirus.
He made the call during a regular briefing at his official residence on Saturday (June 26) morning.
Obaidul Quader said the government has announced a nationwide strict lockdown against coronavirus infections from Monday to prevent the aggressive form of the pandemic and to set the highest precedent of self-protection awareness. Stubbornness and free movement without complying with the rules of hygiene is making the situation more and more complicated so in this situation we have to build an impenetrable fortress of awareness in every house.
Calling for strict adherence to the lockdown, Quader said a slight negligence could endanger lives. We call upon all to strictly abide by the decision taken by the government to protect the lives of the people. The administration and the police can be evaded but death cannot be evaded so neglecting hygiene can knock us out of our lives.
Criticizing the BNP at the time, the Awami League general secretary said, "The BNP is a branded oppressor of this country and a political party that is looting the wealth of the people."
The octopus of crisis has overwhelmed the BNP. He said that due to the recklessness of the leaders, their politics is now at the edge of the abyss.
The BNP is talking nonsense to cover up their failures and is playing a broken record of endless lies against the government. The BNP's stomach is not digested if it does not protest against the government.
Obaidul Quader said that lack of confidence in the top leadership, indecisiveness, non-electoral practices and undemocratic practices are alienating the BNP day by day. The frustration of the leaders and workers has been prolonged and negative and anti-politics is also making them isolated.
The government is torturing the people, he said, referring to the BNP leaders' statement, it is a daily routine to blow the lanterns of their traditional imaginary allegations.
