Dr. Murad Hasan's wife Dr. Jahanara Ehsan said in her general diary, my husband is a Member of Parliament and former State Minister Dr. Murad Hasan. Lately, my husband has been physically and mentally abusing me and my children at home for no reason, even making death threats. On January 6, at 3:15 pm, as usual, he abused me and my children. He also tried to beat. Then I called 999. When the Dhanmondi police reached that address, my husband left the house. In this situation I am feeling insecure. He can harm me and my children at any time.
In the incident of leaking hate speech and some audio clips against women on December 7, under the direction of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Dr. Murad Hasan resigned as State Minister. He was released from the Awami League. He then left Dhaka on the night of December 9 for Canada on a diplomatic passport.
But CBS officials from the Canada Border Services Agency interrogated him for about three hours. After interrogation, he was sent back to the country. Immigration authorities even collect his fingerprints, photographs and signatures to prevent him from entering Canada in the future.
