‘Big countries ask ambassadors to work for boosting businesses’
The big countries of the world are asking their ambassadors to work to increase the business of their own country. Why can't we? We will assist the traders in this regard.
Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen on Thursday (January 6) evening said this while exchanging Christian New Year greetings with Bangladesh's Ambassador and High Commissioner abroad (virtually).
"We want Bangladesh to become a field of production," he said. Momen wanted the cooperation of the ambassadors in this regard.
He said new fields need to be explored to employ Bangladeshi workers. In Africa, land has to be cultivated on lease, for which the ambassadors have to come forward.
The Foreign Minister said Bangabandhu was the most important and great diplomat in the world. Bangabandhu made our foreign policy out of his diplomatic foresight, "Friendship towards all, enmity towards none."
Following his ideals the foreign minister asked all the embassies of the country to serve our nationals abroad with a smile. He instructed the ambassadors to ensure that no officer-employee of the Bangladesh Mission misbehaves with our national abroad in any way.
He also directed to increase the quality of service in all embassies of Bangladesh.
