Person who gave threat to kill the doctor of Sayedi arrested
Rapid Action Battalion-RAB has arrested the person who threatened to kill Professor Dr. SM Mustafa Zaman of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical College who treated life-sentenced Jamaat leader Maulana Delawar Hossain Sayeedi.
The alleged accused was arrested from Jhenaidah on Wednesday (August 16).
Commander Khandaker Al Moin, director of RAB's legal and media wing, confirmed this information.
On Tuesday (August 15) night, the victim doctor made a general diary (GD) at Dhanmondi Model Police Station in the capital.
Dr. Zaman, the victim in the GD, mentioned that he is working as a professor of cardiology at BSMMU. On Sunday (August 13) night, Delwar Hossain Sayeedi was admitted to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University. Sayedi was under the supervision of Professor Chowdhury Meshkat Ahmed, chairman of the Cardiology Department of BSMMU.
On Monday (August 14), Sayedi died while undergoing treatment. As a member of the specialist medical team, I perform the duties assigned to me. But some people are spreading false propaganda against him and threatening to kill him from different IDs on social media and YouTube.
He also mentioned in GD, I am appalled by the behavior of some people these days. Users of some Facebook and YouTube pages and their followers can do serious harm to me and my family members anytime.
For this reason, he made a GD at the police station seeking security.
After filing a GD at Dhanmondi police station, the victim doctor Professor SM Mustafa Zaman told reporters that he (Sayedi) was also given the same treatment as we try to treat a normal patient. There was no interruption in his treatment. We gave him the highest possible treatment; there was no incident of mistreatment or maltreatment.
