Prime Minister wants BAB's cooperation to keep the economy healthy
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has sought the cooperation of Bangladesh Association of Banks (BAB), an organization of private bank entrepreneurs and directors, to properly manage the country's economy amid the global economic recession.
She said, seeking your (BAB) cooperation to maintain good foreign exchange reserves, prevent hyperinflation and manage the economy properly in the face of global economic recession.
She said this while receiving donations from various financial institutions to the Prime Minister's Relief Fund at Ganabhaban on Friday (November 10). This donation is taken to provide blankets and winter clothes to help the cold- hit people during the coming winter season.
Sheikh Hasina said that today's Bangladesh has changed from what it was 15 years back. Now everyone respects us. Bangladesh is recognized as a role model for development. The progress of Bangladesh is noticeable to all.
The Prime Minister asked everyone to work to maintain the progress of the country. She said that the success of her government in improving the socio-economic condition of the country and people for the last 15 years has not been taken positively by many quarters.
She further said, "I am a woman and have been in power for a long time for three consecutive terms... I have successfully changed the fate of people." I have radically changed the country.
Seeking everyone's cooperation to uphold the country's image, the Prime Minister said, unfortunately, arson has started again in the name of blockade recently. I don't know how much who benefits. But some people, especially common people, are falling prey to it.
