All the nomination papers of the Ganatantri Party are cancelled
In the 12th JS elections, the nomination papers of the Ganatantri Party, a partner of AL led 14 party alliance have been cancelled.
On Tuesday (December 12) afternoon in a letter signed by Mahbub Alam Shah, Deputy Secretary of the Election Commission it was learnt.
In the letter, it was informed that the nominations filed separately by the president and general secretary of the political party called Ganatantri Party registered with the Election Commission, have been disapproved by the commission. Because there is no affiliated committee of the political party called Ganatantri Party at present.
According to EC sources, the Election Commission has decided to cancel the nomination papers of all the candidates submitted in 35 seats in the 12th JS elections due to the conflict in the Central Executive Committee of the Ganatantri Party.
Earlier, the Election Commission held a meeting with both sides of Ganatantri Party. After the meeting, the commission did not give any decision.
It is to be noted that the Gantantri Party is a political party registered by the Election Commission, but recently the party has been divided into two factions. That's why recently the Election Commission invited political parties for dialogue but not even a letter was sent to a party of the Ganatantri Party. As a result, there is confusion about which part of the party is registered with the Election Commission.
