Badda furniture shop fire is under control
A terrible fire in a wooden furniture shop on the opposite side of Subastu Tower in the Badda area of the capital has been brought under control. The fire was brought under control after more than one and a half hours of efforts of six fire service units. It is said that at least 10-12 wooden furniture shops have been burnt in this terrible fire. However, initially the concerned authorities could not tell the amount of damage caused by the fire.
The fire service said that the fire came under control at 5:40 am on Tuesday (February 26).
In this regard, the duty officer of the control room of the fire service, Rafi Al Farooq, said that on Monday night at 3:57 pm, I received information that there was a fire in some shops on the opposite side of Subastu Tower in Badda. Later, four units of the fire service reached the spot and started dousing the fire. Later two more units were added there.
Eyewitnesses said that the fire broke out in a wooden shop on the opposite side of Subastu Tower around 3:30 A.M on Monday. Later, the fire spread to nearby shops. The fire from the wood shop spread to parts of three neighboring buildings. Some flats of three nearby buildings were damaged. They also said that a saw mill here was also badly damaged by the fire.
