After the suicide of Fairuz Sadaf Avantika (24), a law student of Jagannath University, there is an outpouring of grief from her classmates and friends on her Facebook wall. They also demanded the arrest and trial of those responsible for Avantika's suicide. She committed suicide at her home in Cumilla after 9:30 pm on Friday (March 15).

Before committing suicide, she wrote a suicide note in a post on her Facebook wall. She blamed her classmate Amman Siddiqui and Jagannath University Assistant Proctor Deen Islam for the death.

As the reason for this, she mentioned that her classmate Amman Siddiqui sexually harassed her and then threatened her several times. When Assistant Proctor Deen Islam was told about this, he treated her rather badly on behalf of her classmate. In Suicide Note, Fairuz Sadaf Avantika writes-

'If I ever die by suicide, my classmate Amman Siddiqui will be solely responsible for my death, and Jagannath's Assistant Proctor Deen Islam, who supports him because of his good relationship with him as his assistant. I complained to the Proctor's office about Amman keeping me offline online and to no avail. Deen Islam scares me in many ways for the sake of Amman that expelling me is like dirt on his hands. I know I won't get any justice here.

Because many followers of Deen Islam will stand by him I did not know this man. When I objected to Amman making sexually abusive comments to me, Deen resorted to Islam to take care of me. And Deen Islam called me alone in the Proctor's office and abused women. Even though it was a long time ago, she still defames me in various ways and says different things to different people. And if anyone in Cumilla has any courage, he will admit how much this man is trying to harm the students of Cumilla's age for the sake of Cumilla's students. This man called me to the proctor's office 7 times in response to Amman's complaint, "Why are you slapping this boy? If you beat me with my shoes now, who will save you?"

Unfortunately this man was a very prominent student leader of DU. He is now Jagannath's proctor, despite serving in jail once. Even though his political and corruption hand is not very long, he does not maintain his health in such a post. Where was this man's job to be a guardian and so he didn't release me until my life ended.

I aske the Vice Chancellor Sadeka Halim ma'am to judge you as the guardian of this institution.

And I die by hanging. What happened to me is that people who love themselves so much like me can do such things. I know this is not a solution but don't trust me to live. I am a fighter man. I wanted to live! And don't trouble my family by doing post mortem. My father passed away less than a year ago, my mother is alone. Don't embarrass him. It's not suicide, it's murder. Technically murder! And Amman, my classmate eve teaser was telling me that he would make my life such that I could not move without dying. Even I try to fight. Now the back is against the wall of endurance!'

Meanwhile, after getting news of Avantika's suicide, her Facebook wall was filled with condolence messages from her university classmates and friends. Besides, they continue to post one after another demanding justice for the guilty.

The condolence messages of some friends and classmates are presented in this regard:

Sumaiya Soma

A few days ago, Fairuz Abontika protested like others, demanding the release of Khadijatul Kubra, who was arrested under the Digital Security Act. At that time Avantika shared these things to judge the injustice done to her. Avantika's death proves that Jagannath University administration is a dysfunctional administration, death shell. Will the administration be able to punish the criminals who instigated Avantika's death??'

Ankhi Sarkar Rai

Why is God's life so short? Why are people so inhuman? Such a lively, independent and talented girl was not allowed to live, I used to watch her videos and think that we girls of Cumilla are really talented.

But that strong man was also forced to commit suicide by some beasts called humans.

She had to suffer so much pain in a place like Jagannath University, why was there no one to stand by her?

Give her courage?

Like her, I get involved in many such incidents, do I ever have to choose this path? How can God bear so much in one life?

Avanti,

At least she could have seen everyone's opinions after making the post, she ignored the love of so many people and left? Of course, it's not suicide, it's murder, I want justice for Avanti's murder!!'

Fahmida Zaman

Fairuz Abontika is a girl from our University. Just found out that she is committing suicide and has directly blamed some people in the University as the cause of his suicide on Facebook.

On Varsity Day 2022 suddenly the girl came from behind and said she liked me very much, she also texted me on messenger and her name is Fairuz Avantika, she was from the law department. She wants to take a picture with me. The picture was taken when she was alive and happy. She repeatedly said that she liked my independent, daring life. Another departed soul has been added to my memories.

Taufiqul Islam Hridoy

Corner of the world Compensation for killing Fairuz Abontika is not possible. What is actually happening in Jagannath University? How many fresh souls will fall prematurely? Big Shots will remain out of touch in the culture of injustice?

A brilliant, talented student was thus lost. And we are sitting quietly? When will the students' understanding arise? When will the administration move?

And...When will we be human??Never forgive Avantika Jagannath.

Alif Tasnim

The day I went to ABC radio for the first time, I got introduced to Fairuz Abontika Apu. Just like me she was also there as a contestant for giving audition. As we endured a lengthy wait, our conversation delved into various topics including cricket, commentary, life, and career, anchoring, and so on. It felt like I'm conversing with someone who was deeply connected to me. I never anticipated that she would pass away under such distressing circumstances. May Allah forgive her all the sins.

Alifa

The responsibility of killing Fairuz Abontika is not only two Our entire Jagannath.

A proctor is not such a ghost! Why was the rest of the proctorial body in a silent role? This silence is giving silent support to the injustice of that one.

Complaining repeatedly to the department chairmen of public universities has become quite powerful. He could have saved the girl if he wanted. Did the other teachers of the department not even notice that a student was going through such a bad time?

And those who are friends of the victim, many of you knew the things. One of the culprits is your classmate. But you could not do anything?

Couldn't we all do something together? If not, at least he could have provided emotional support.

Nothing in the world can cause a person to die voluntarily if the person is mentally strong. No matter how many diseases and dangers you say, everything will overcome you when you become mentally alone, broken.

When the girl looked around to fight, she was all alone! No one is next! Then it lost power.

Request to Honorable Vice-Chancellor Sadeka Halim ma'am, remove this stigma of Jagannath through fair trial.

Ritha Sarker

The horror of the reason behind the death of Fairuz Abontika can be seen from here. Otherwise, such a strong and active man cannot be broken so easily. Every time I think of him, his smiling, active face comes to mind.

If everyone does not stand up against this unfair and careless behavior of the administration, these malpractices of power will continue and some more brilliant minds will fall. And those who do not shed, they will become dull day by day.

Noshin Tabassum Prapty

Fairuz Abontika girl loved me like crazy, adored me a lot. It's not about me, it's about those who know Avantika well, they will know about me.

Although I met Avantika in my first year of University, I became friends with her after her BMA. After seeing some of her posts, I felt that the girl was not good, when I asked her, she told me everything. Since then he started sharing with me and hen nothing he didn't share with me.

I will only talk about Avantika, which Avantika wanted to tell everyone with open heart and also wanted to prove it,

"You people who are spreading rumors about Avantika so bad to people, she is not that bad. She is a very simple girl, around whom you are making complicated stories; you believe those stories without even talking to her."

She would cry to me, "Get it! I'm not such a bad girl! Who am I going to make believe? These eight people have spoken so badly about me, every man has to go and prove it to how many people? Will anyone listen to me?"

I will talk about Avantika. Just give me time. You keep thinking in between, how much bad news was spread about the girl, what faces were spreading it.

I may not be able to remember all of his words. Those of you, who have heard the rumor, will help me remember it. I will tell everyone what she wanted to say.

I'm not in the mood to tell everything right now. But I will say. give me some time

Don't ask me anything, don't knock and ask me anything.

Shanta Islam

Fairuz Abontika

Why is death so close? Why did not go far? For some ghouls he wouldn't have ended himself like that. One regret in life will be that I have never talked to people like you. Avni Apu will be very well on the other side.

Dipu Roy

I know "sudden death" ahead. Two days ago, you said, sister "Suicide is no solution" Abontika bird suddenly turned off the light...How could you do this?? God bless you.

Be well...'

Nazmul Sakin Shanto

Be it Sushant Singh Rajput or Fairuz Avantika Apa, no one was even around them before they committed suicide. But when 2 people died, comments and status* across Facebook, people are showing extreme sympathy. At that level, it seems that you will kill the accused if they come out of the house!

Can't, nothing will happen. Pretend to be a human bond for a few days, and after 1 year on the day of the death anniversary, the journalist brothers will burn your hurricane and look for this: you will say a little anger, and they will increase the TRP of their News Channel!

If a real Fairuz Apa person, before her death the person responsible is Amman Siddiqui and Asst. File a case against Proctor Deen Islam on your own responsibility. 100 people 100 cases!

Then I will see, where will the lust go? Although I never support this suicide, Fairuz Apa is actually losing the battle of life and implementing this decision. We will not make this mistake, God willing.

Special Note: Since Fairuz Apa was a Muslim, I consider it hypocritical to use her picture to garner sympathy, if you can, keep fighting the war of words.

She is a single person, he said, advising the chief heat officer. She will not implement the works. She gives advice, but the work is actually done by all of us. It is on his advice that we are doing these things to give relief to the people.

On Saturday (April 27), he said these things while inspecting DNCC's water spray (sprinkling water) program to prevent air pollution and keep the city cool during intense heat in Agargaon.

In response to a question about the appointment and salary allowance of Chief Hit Officer Bushra Afrin, he said, "I see that many people are talking about her for the past few days. She is getting salary from city corporation, actually it is not correct. She does not get a single taka from the city corporation. She doesn't even have any seat in the city corporation. But she has no chair.

Heat officers have been appointed by an organization based in the United States (Adrienne Arshot-Rockefeller Foundation Resilience Center (Arshot-Rock). They have appointed 7 chief heat officers around the world and all seven are women.

Earlier, at 11:30, the mayor Md. Atiqul Islam said at Syed Mahboob Morshed avenue Agargaon while visiting the special van kept for supply of clean drinking water and drank the water himself. Later, when artificial rain began to fall through the spray cannon, he joined the excited children and teenagers and shared the joy with them.

Later, the mayor talked to the journalists. Atiqul Islam said, two spray cannons that provide artificial rain will sprinkle water on the main road. As they are quite large, they cannot enter the street. Ten browsers will work to sprinkle water on the street. Through these the roads will be wet and kept cool. I have also directed the concerned department to arrange artificial rain like spray cannons in the parks of DNCC. In the next one week artificial rain will be arranged in the parks.

He said, on the advice of Chief Heat Officer (CHO) Bushra Afrin, we have taken the initiative of sprinkling water on roads and providing free drinking water to 54 wards of DNCC to relieve the people in the ongoing intense heat. Three special vans (with 500 liter water tanks) have been brought down in each ward to provide water to the pedestrians. The vans will move around the ward with clean drinking water. These vans are made in small size to fit into the alleys of the city. Pedestrians and working people should be able to drink water.

Calling the city dwellers, the mayor said, I have three appeals to the city dwellers in the current situation. 1, I request the shopkeepers, traders and owners association leaders of DNCC area to arrange a drum for drinking water in front of every shop, shopping mall, market. Everyone can drink water. 2, we planted 80 thousand trees last year. This year I will plant another 1 lakh 20 thousand trees. I request the people of the city to take care of these trees. The city corporation is taking care, besides the city residents will take care of the trees in front of their houses, in front of the shops. 3. This year, we started activities before dengue spread. Aedes mosquito season is starting. Everyone should keep their homes, offices, educational institutions and surroundings clean so that Aedes larvae do not grow.

Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said, BNP's predicament is how to come to power by enslaving foreign masters.

He made this comment in response to questions from reporters after paying tribute to Sher-e- Bangla AK Fazlul Haque's mausoleum at the historical Shaheed Suhrawardy Udyan at 8 am on Saturday (April 27).

Obaidul Quader said, BNP is enslaved to get power, to stay in power. They do not consider public support as a key issue. Slavery to foreign masters leads to power. Their dilemma is still how to go to power by enslaving foreign masters.

Mentioning that he does not consider BNP as a democratic party, he said, there is no precedent for establishing democracy in their history. They have killed democracy, turned it into a farce. They never obeyed the democratic rules even within the party. They talk big, when they do the party council? Where did they party council? 7-8 years ago there was a meeting at the Le Meridien Central Committee. Jambu Jam style Committee of 501 people. Those who do not have democracy at home cannot establish democracy in the country.

Obaidul Quader said, national leader Sher-e- Bangla was one of the people who took politics to common people in this country. Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman inspired the common people with the mantra of freedom. The farmers of rural Bengal will never forget Shere-e- Bangla. He will forever be remembered among them. He protected usurer moneylenders from tyranny by setting up State and Debt Arbitration(Rin Shalishi Boeard) Board. He is still remembered for that.

Commenting on today's pledge to fulfill their dreams, he said, today our pledge is to form Bangabandhu, Suhrawardy, Maulana Bhasani, Sher-e- Bangla AK Fazlul Haq non-sectarian Bangladesh. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, we are fighting to build a humane and non-communal Bangladesh. That is the dream of Sher-e- Bangla AK Fazlul Haque and that is our pledge today.
