Prime Minister's tribute to Bangabandhu at Dhanmondi 32 on his 104th birthday

On the occasion of the 104th birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina paid tribute to Bangabandhu's portrait at Dhanmondi Road number 32.

On Sunday (March 17) at 7 am, the Prime Minister offered wreaths with party leaders and members of the Council of Ministers.

After placing a wreath at the portrait of Bangabandhu, she stood there silently for a while paying deep respect to the memory of the Father of the Nation. Meanwhile, a smartly turned out contingent of Bangladesh Army, Navy and Air Force displayed guard of honor.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina left for Tungipara after paying tribute to Bangabandhu's portrait. She will pay homage at Bangabandhu's tomb there at 10:30 am.

On the occasion of the day, various programs have been taken by the government and Awami League throughout the day. National and party flags will be hoisted at Bangabandhu Bhavan, central office and all offices of the organization across the country at 6:30 am. At 10:30 AM in Tungipara, Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina led the national leaders to pay respects at the tomb of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, participate in milad and doa mahfil and children's rally.

In addition, prayer and Milad Mahfil in all mosques of the country including after Zohar at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque as part of nationwide special prayer program in all religious institutions including mosques, temples, pagodas, churches.

Christian community at Mirpur Baptist Church (3/7-A Senpara, Parbarta, Mirpur-10) at 6 pm, Sabujbag Dharmarajika Buddhist Mahavihar at 10 am and Buddhist community at Merul Badda International Buddhist Vihar in the capital at 6 pm and Dhakeshwari National Temple at 11:30 am the Hindu community organized a prayer meeting.
