Despite having two daughters and two sons, she could not find a place for anyone except the eldest daughter. Now elder daughter Sheila Akhtar is her only hope.
Mina Begum's husband Salam died long before corona. Due to her family's poverty, she is making a living by selling children's shoes in front of Taltala Market in the capital.
Meena Begum lives on Chattogram Road in the capital. Even if she wanted to enjoy the joy of Eid, she could not afford it anymore. Thoughts flashed in the eyes. Looking at the customers with a sad face. Take rice for the house with the money of selling shoes.
Just looking at her face, it seems that she has many troubles in her mind. Even though she was supposed to live comfortably at her last age, she did not have that fate.
Mina Begum told Barta24.com Correspondent “Poverty has followed me ever since my husband died,” She told I have two sons and two daughters. I got those married everyone. Boys are also not capable. They are also poor. That's why I stay with the elder daughter. We all used to sell shoes on Chattogram Road. But, the police also removed us from there. We are going to live in poverty.
She also said, 'Eid is after two or three days. But there is no rice at home, how to do the Eid market! I don't like this poverty-stricken family anymore. I am selling shoes to help my elder daughter. My grandchildren are ten in total. They should also be saluted. I don't understand anything from where to give, what to do.'
