Three Rohingyas have been killed in the firing of terrorists in Ukhia, Cox's Bazar. Three others were injured at this time.

The incident took place in the F block of Rohingya camp No. 4 (Extension) of Ukhia in the early hours of Monday (June 10).

The deceased are - Md. Ilias, 31 son of Zafar Ahmed of F block of Ukhia camp, Ishahaq, 54 son of deceased Abdur Rakim E Block of Camp-3 and Ismail's son Firoz Khan (18).

The other three injured in the incident are Hasan's son Abdul Haq (32), Nazir Ahmed's son Abdus Shukkur (55) and deceased Omar Mia's son Abdul Monaf (60). All of them are residents of F block.

According to sources, Rohingyas were killed at around 4:30 am on Monday morning. Ilias was shot by members of the terrorist organization RSO and severely injured by cutting his hands, legs and lower abdomen with sharp weapons. He later died on the spot due to excessive bleeding.

After that, at around 4:30 am on Monday morning, members of another terrorist organization, Arsa, arrived at the scene and RSO supporters Ishaq, Firoz Khan, Abdul Haque, Abdus Shukkur and Abdul Monaf were fatally injured by shooting at different parts of the body and cutting them with sharp weapons.

It is initially known about the origin of the incident that the slain Rohingya were working as a source for Ilas Arsa. RSO members first killed Arsa as he refused to give information about him. Later on getting information about the incident, Arsa members came and attacked some RSO supporters indiscriminately.

After the incident, when the injured Rohingyas were taken to the Ukhia Upazila Health Complex for treatment, the doctor on duty said. Ishaq and Firoz Khan were declared dead. The rest were sent to Cox's Bazar Sadar Hospital for better treatment.

Ukhia Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Shamim Hossain confirmed the truth of the incident and said that the bodies of the deceased have been sent to the morgue. Legal action in this regard is under process.

The law enforcement forces deployed in the Rohingya camp are the captain of the 14th Armed Police Battalion. One person died on the spot, Iqbal said. Two died of their injuries at the hospital. At present, the situation in the Rohingya camp is normal.
