Looking for birth place

Based on the information received, the pressmen and locals have been in contact for several days in search of the birth place of the revolutionary Parikshit Mukherjee. At one point, the location of the birth place of the revolutionary can be confirmed. Kali Mandir is half a kilometer east of Kharnia Bazar in Dumuria, Khulna along the crooked pitch casting road. Next to it will be the famous Mukherjee house. Surrounded by trees. Pleasant visit. Birds call around. The sweet sun is peeking through the gaps in the trees. Jaishtya's aroma of mango, black berry, jackfruit ripening. There are new mud houses. Tin canopy above. Everyone knows that the house now belongs to Sushanta Mukherjee. Although Sushanta Mukherjee is not there, his wife and son live there. Everyone including the village people know that it is Sushanta Mukherjee's land.

What the locals said

Ten people were talking next to the Kali temple. Children, old people, boys and girls all sat together there. They welcomed me. I wanted to know what they know about Parikshit Mukherjee. But they said in one word, 'I have never heard the name of such a person. I tried to convince them in different ways. There, a school student named Shipra said, "Yes, we have read about him." There was some hope.

After about two hours of conversation, one named Bishnupad Roy suddenly said, 'I have bought the land from Sushanta Mukherjee, but it is written about Parikshit Mukherjee and his father Gurucharan Mukherjee.' When the land was found (pointing with the finger).'

I wanted to see the deed of that land. They brought papers from home. It was found that the names of Parikshit Mukhopadhyay and his father Gurucharan Mukhopadhyay were given in the papers. Then I took everyone together to the Mukherjee house, which was once the birthplace of Parikshit Mukherjee.

As the existence of birth place came out

I asked the locals, has anyone seen any old buildings here? Bishnupada Roy told Barta24.com, no building was found when I came, I saw the site of this house; The walls of the old building are about 30 inches long. But after weeds grew there, the structure was demolished and cultivated as a shelter for animals. Then Sushanta Mukherjee came and built houses next to it. Sushanta Mukherjee started living there. But because of Parikshit Mukhopadhyay's non-existence, everyone has almost forgotten his name.

The elderly who knew are also vulnerable to the burden of old age. It is known that the new generation does not know who Parikshit Mukherjee was. Where Parikshit Mukhopadhyay's old house used to be, now arum cultivation has taken place. Nothing can be seen as his existence now. Nothing of his time remains there. However, Parikshit Mukherjee's name is everywhere in the land ownership documents.

Locals also said that only a 200-year-old tamarind tree has survived as the existence of that time. It may still stand proudly proclaiming the past of the Mukherjee house. Student Shripra Roy said, the birthplace of such a revolutionary is next to my house but we found out today! It is our failure that we could not contribute to his memory.

The understanding of the locals

Barta24.com's search for Parikshit Mukherjee's birthplace seems to have struck a deep chord in the minds of the locals. During the conversation, Kharniar Mukherjee was telling many residents around the house about their regrets. They said, 'We could not have known that such a great person was born in this village. But now that we know, we should bring his glory to the new generation so that we can proudly say that Parikshit Mukherjee's birthplace is next to our house.'
