According to the notification issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, the curfew was relaxed from 10 am to 5 pm in Dhaka, Narayanganj, Gazipur and Narsingdi districts on Thursday as well. And the responsibility of relaxing the curfew in the rest of the districts has been given to the local administration.

The Home Minister said at the Secretariat on Wednesday, "We were forced to clamp a curfew and called the army." They cooperated. I hope to bring everything under control in the next two to four days because the people of the country don't like it. In the meantime, we have brought the rise of militants and terrorists and the BNP-Jamaat conspiracy under control.

The Home Minister said that the army will go to work when the environment of the country is right.

Incidentally, due to violence across the country around the quota reform movement, the government deployed the army and clamped a curfew from 12 midnight last Friday. Meanwhile, after Friday and Saturday weekend, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, a 3 days general holiday was declared by executive order.
