Distribution of portfolios among the advisers
The portfolios have been distributed among the 17-member of the interim government headed by Nobel laureate Dr. Muhammad Yunus.
Cabinet Secretary Md. Mahbub Hossain circulated this information on Friday (August 9) by order of the President.
Dr. Muhammad Yunus received, Cabinet Division , Ministry of Defense, Armed Forces Division, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Roads and Bridges, Ministry of Food, Ministry of Housing and Public Works, Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Textiles and Jute, Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Railways, Public Administration Ministry, Ministry of Power and Energy, Ministry of Shipping, Ministry of Water Resources, Ministry of Women and Children Affairs, Ministry of Expatriate Welfare and Foreign Employment, Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Liberation War Affairs, Chattogram Hill Tracts, and Ministry of Primary and Mass Education.
In addition, Dr. Saleh Uddin Ahmed- Ministry of Finance and Planning, Dr. Asif Nazrul- Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Brigadier General (Retd.) Earlier on Thursday an interim government of 17 members was formed headed by Dr. Yunus. At Bangabhaban 14 members of the interim government including Muhammad Dr. Muhammad Yunus took oath. The president Md. Sahabuddin administered the oath. The three newly appointed advisors could not come to the swearing-in ceremony as they were staying outside Dhaka.
