He said this in response to a question from journalists at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday (September 10) about the recent border killings.

"We have made our language of protest more stronger" the Foreign Affairs Adviser said. What we are talking about every moment is a very sensitive matter. Hope India will take this into consideration.

Reiterating the call of Bangladesh to stop the border killings, the foreign adviser said that it is necessary to get out of this situation for the sake of both countries. Because it does not benefit, rather it has a negative effect on the relationship.

He said, we have told them clearly, we condemn this incident. These incidents are playing a very negative role in Bangladesh-India relations. I have never heard anyone say that it is good for India.

The Bangladesh government had earlier called on the Indian government to stop the repetition of such 'heinous acts' and bring those responsible to justice through an inquiry into the border killings.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has lodged a formal protest with the Government of India on September 1, after a girl named Swarna Das (13) of Juri Upazila of Moulvibazar was killed by the Indian Border Security Force (BSF).
