A high-level US delegation is coming to Dhaka on Saturday

A high-level US delegation is coming to Dhaka on a three-day visit. The delegation will arrive in Dhaka on Saturday (September 14) under the leadership of US Treasury Assistant Undersecretary Brent Neiman. Also, US State Department Assistant Secretary for South and Central Asia Donald Lu will come to Dhaka via India. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that besides strengthening the relationship, various issues of bilateral interest will be given importance in the discussion.

The US delegation is visiting Bangladesh for the first time after the formation of the Interim government in Bangladesh under the leadership of Dr. Muhammad Yunus. A six-member high-level delegation headed by US Treasury Deputy Under Secretary Brent Neyman will arrive in Dhaka on a three-day visit on Saturday.

Apart from this, the delegation includes US State Department Assistant Secretary for South and Central Asia Donald Lu and USAID Deputy Assistant Administrator for Asia Anjali Kaur. Meanwhile, Lu will come to Dhaka via India.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the relationship between the two countries will be strengthened during this visit. Besides, various issues related to their own interest will be important in the discussion. The Foreign Office said that there will be a multi-dimensional discussion with this high-level party.

Members of the United States delegation next Sunday (September 15) the Interim government's Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus, Foreign Affairs Adviser Touhid Hossain and Finance and Commerce Adviser Dr. Salehuddin Ahmed will have a courtesy call.

At noon on this day, the members of the US delegation will participate in lunch with the Secretary of foreign affairs. In the afternoon, the leader of the delegation, Brent Neiman, Deputy Under Secretary of the US Department of Revenue, will meet with the Governor of Bangladesh Bank, Ahsan H. Mansoor.

Those concerned consider the visit of the US delegation to be very important to strengthen relations with Bangladesh after the change in the political scenario in the student uprising.
