Army chief visited remote camp in Chattogram Hill Tracts
Chief of Army Staff General Waqar-uz-Zaman visited 24 Infantry Division and Chattogram Area. At this time, he addressed the army personnel of all ranks working in Chattogram Cantonment and gave a directive speech.

According to ISPR, during the visit of 24 Infantry Division, the Chief of Army Staff addressed the soldiers of all ranks working in Chattogram Cantonment and gave a directive speech. Later, he inspected the progress of construction of a multi-storied building of Army Medical College and planted trees.
The Chief of Army Staff took the 'Officer's Address' to the army officers of all ranks. At the beginning of his speech, he sought forgiveness for the death of martyred Lt. Tanzim Sarwar Nirjan and expressed his deepest condolences to the bereaved family. He said, the army will remember the sacrifice of this brave young army officer in the service of the motherland with deep respect. At the same time, the army is proud of him.
Waqar-uz-Zaman said that the army is working impartially and professionally to prevent extrajudicial activities and uphold the rule of law, along with the development of law and order situation and joint force's weapons recovery activities. Apart from being aware of the various rumors going on in the social media, everyone has to fulfill their responsibilities with honesty, truthfulness and fairness.
Later, the Army Chief visited the Naniarchar zone headquarters of Rangamati region. At this time, he directed to be always ready to protect the sovereignty of the country, including maintaining stability, ensuring the safety of the lives and property of the general public and providing assistance to the socio-economic development of the people. The Army Chief's arrival at the remote hill army camp boosted the morale of army personnel and other security forces deployed in the Chattogram Hill Tracts. Apart from this, he interacted with civil officials of the local administration and local dignitaries during the visit.
General Officer Commanding (GOC) 24 Infantry Division and Area Commander Chattogram Area, Chief Consultant General of Army Headquarters, Senior Army Officers of Army Headquarters and Chattogram Area including ad hoc CSC, Junior Commissioned Officers and other rank soldiers were present.
