Car ran over students in front of airport

A private car lost control and ran over seven students in front of the third terminal of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on the Dhaka-Mymensingh highway in Uttara, the capital. Three students were seriously injured.

The accident occurred around 12:30 pm on Sunday (October 27).

Airport Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Mustafizur Rahman confirmed the matter.

He said, I heard that an accident had occurred in the airport area around 12:30 pm. Three students were injured in the incident. Two of them had broken their legs and another had a minor head injury. After the accident, the police went to the scene and seized the private car.

He also said that the private car driver himself is the owner. He has been brought to the police station. The injured have been sent to (NITOR) Pangu Hospital.

Meanwhile, a video of the incident has gone viral on social media. In the viral video, it can be seen that 7 students were walking on the road opposite the third terminal. At that time, a white private car came from behind and ran over them. After the car hit the students, several students were seen falling on the road. Later, people from the surrounding area came forward and rescued the injured students.
