Bomb Arman arrested from Geneva Camp
RAB has arrested Arman alias Boma Arman (42), one of the main accused in six cases including the sensational Raj murder case in the capital's Mohammadpur Geneva Camp.
He was arrested from the Geneva Camp area on Thursday (November 7) afternoon. RAB-2's media officer Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Shihab Karim confirmed this information at around 12:15 am last night.
Regarding the incident, he said that on November 1, there was a chase between two groups in Geneva Camp over the dominance of drug sales. At that time, 10 to 12 people, including pedestrian Raj, were seriously injured in a bomb thrown by the Arman alias Boma Arman group. Locals rescued Raj and took him to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital, where the doctor on duty declared him dead.
The cousin of Raj, who died in the incident, filed a murder case with Mohammadpur Police Station, mentioning the name of the accused.
In view of the request letter from the Officer-in-Charge of Mohammadpur Police Station to arrest the accused involved in the case, considering the importance of the incident, RAB increased its intelligence surveillance to arrest the accused in this regard.
In continuation of this, based on information technology and secret information, an operational team of RAB-2 conducted a raid in the Geneva Camp area on Thursday afternoon and arrested Bomb Arman.
Efforts are ongoing to arrest the other accused by analyzing the information obtained during the initial interrogation of the arrested Arman.
The arrested accused has been handed over to Mohammadpur Police Station.
