The vandalism of house number 32 in Dhanmondi is unintentional and undesirable. Sheikh Hasina's provocative statements against the July Uprising while in exile in India have created deep anger in the public mind, which has been expressed.
These were announced in a statement of the interim government sent by the Press Wing of the Chief Adviser on Thursday (February 6).
The statement said that there has been no attack or vandalism of any kind at house number 32 in the last six months. This happened last night around the statement of the fugitive Sheikh Hasina, which has two parts.
One part is that Sheikh Hasina has insulted and humiliated those who sacrificed themselves in the July Uprising. By making irrelevant, absurd and hateful statements regarding the death of the martyr, the fugitive Sheikh Hasina has disrespected and disregarded the July Uprising.
Secondly, Sheikh Hasina, despite fleeing the face of the mass uprising in the same tone she used to speak in when she was in power, carrying out corruption, terrorism and inhumane processes, continues to speak and threaten the July mass uprising and every person who participated in the mass uprising in the same tone. The statement said that Sheikh Hasina has threatened to create instability in the country.
The press wing statement further said that Sheikh Hasina is continuing to inflict one blow after another on the wounds left in the minds of the people regarding the July massacre. In response to her violent behavior, the incident of vandalism of house number 32 has occurred.
The interim government is on the highest alert to protect the lives and property of the country and the people. The law enforcement agencies are making all-out efforts to bring the situation under control.
The statement said that it would be possible to avoid a recurrence of such an incident if Sheikh Hasina, who is a warranted accused of crimes against humanity, refrains from speaking.
It said that the government hopes that India will not allow its territory to be used for activities that create instability in Bangladesh and will not give Sheikh Hasina the opportunity to speak. The interim government does not want such incidents to be repeated in the future.
Stating that the trial of those involved in the July massacre is in full swing, the government said that the interim government is committed to ensuring this trial and giving appropriate punishment to the murderers.
The statement said that the government will examine what legal steps can be taken against those involved in provocative activities.
