No bar to Awami League's participation in the elections: Badiul Alam

Saying that there is no bar to Awami League's participation in the upcoming elections, Election Reform Commission chief Badiul Alam Majumder said that no obstacles will be given to political parties to make the elections festive.
He made these remarks to reporters after an open discussion with people from different levels, including the local administration, political parties and civil society, on the reform of the election system at the Rangpur Deputy Commissioner's office on Thursday (December 19) afternoon.
Badiul Alam Majumder said that in the past, the Election Commission could not work impartially because elections were held under party governments. In this election, election officials will be free from all kinds of influence. Due to which free, fair and impartial elections will be possible.
When asked by journalists whether Awami League will be able to participate in the upcoming elections, Badiul Alam said, "Like you, we are waiting to see that. However, I do not see any obstacle. I do not see anything that has been created for them. We want an inclusive election, those who want to vote with all preparations will be able to vote. No obstacles will be placed. I hope that all parties will participate in the elections.
The head of the Electoral Reform Commission also mentioned that after discussions with stakeholders including all political parties, a reform proposal will be submitted to Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus by December 31.
