Asif Mahmud Sajeeb Bhuiyan, adviser to the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives and the Ministry of Youth and Sports, has commented that the previous fascist government destroyed every institution in Bangladesh.

He said that now the interim government is working to reform all these problems of the state. Therefore, public opinion, cooperation and support are very important in reforms.

Adviser Asif Mahmud said these things while speaking as the chief guest at a program organized by the Upazila administration at the Atwari Model Pilot High School ground in Panchagarh on Wednesday (December 25) afternoon to provide financial assistance to the families of the martyrs of July-August and distribute winter clothes to the needy.

Addressing the people, he said, "You know that the Reform Commission has been formed. The three-month term of this commission has almost expired. Their proposals will be given to the government. And the government will move forward with the reform program after discussing with the stakeholders." I urge you to utilize the rare opportunity of independence by giving your opinions, cooperation and support.

Earlier, Sarjis Alam, General Secretary of the July Shaheed Smriti Foundation and one of the coordinators of the student-public movement against discrimination, said, New Bangladesh, new government. A new elected government will come. And so there will be new members, chairman, MPs and ministers. On the day of the election, as the people, we will not vote for anyone in exchange for a few hundred or a few thousand taka the night before. The best person, the most qualified person, must be voted for.

You only get one chance to elect someone in 5 years. If you waste that opportunity for a few hundred taka, that person will oppress you in the next 5 years. You cannot avoid the responsibility for this.
