Adviser Mahfuz Alam has listed 14 priority tasks for the interim government at the current time.
On Monday (January 6), Adviser Mahfuz Alam published the list of tasks through a post on his verified Facebook profile.
The list mentions a total of 14 priority tasks based on two processes related to the end of the fascist regime and the judicial system, including assistance to the injured and martyrs of the July coup.
In terms of primary priorities, he mentioned
1. Preparation of a list of July martyrs and injured, providing treatment. Financial assistance and long-term
2. rehabilitation of the injured and martyrs' family members.
3. Trial of the July genocide and conducting appropriate cases and fair investigation activities for that purpose.
4. Trial of the disappearances, murders and economic looting of the last 16 years. Returning of the looted money.
5. Ensuring the safety of people's lives and property and keeping the prices of goods affordable.
6. Ensuring realistic reforms of various state institutions based on national consensus.
7. Reorganizing all public sectors including education, public health, information technology and housing
8. Ensuring equality of opportunity in jobs and entrepreneurship for the young generation. Increasing state incentives.
9. Adopting economic programs that are favorable to the people, life, nature and environment instead of the so-called 'development economy'.
10. Ensuring transparency, accountability and public service in all government activities. Uniting the forces of the uprising in favor of the abolition of the fascist system and a new political settlement.
In addition, in terms of political priorities, he mentioned,
11. Upholding national interests in all areas and giving importance to the issues of the people, life, nature and environment of Bangladesh beyond big corporations and foreign interests
12. Maintaining consensus with political parties on national priorities, namely national security, stability and foreign relations, and using the power of the people to block the return of the fascist system and murderers.
13. Keeping the people united in favor of reforms and leaving the process of transferring power, namely the electoral system, to the people's verdict subject to reforms.
14. Making the people of the whole country, especially the younger generation, politically educated and aware (about responsibilities and rights).
