Chief Prosecutor Mohammad Tajul Islam said, ‘Arrest warrants have been issued against 8 people today including 6 police officers. The remaining two are Awami League leaders or influential leaders. Our investigation agency has found evidence of direct involvement against them.’

He said, ‘The investigation agency has sought arrest warrants against those against whom warrants have been issued today only after their direct involvement in the most sensational murder in Dhaka city was confirmed. Arrest warrants have been issued against a total of 8 people in four separate petitions.’
