We will go to the polls after looking at the election situation. If there is no level playing field in the elections, if there is a one-sided election, the Jatiya Party will not go to the polls to legitimize anyone's election, Jatiya Party Chairman GM Quader has said.
He made these comments as the chief guest at the joint meeting of the Jatiya Sramik Party at the Banani office auditorium of the Jatiya Party on Thursday (February 20).
In response to a question at the meeting, GM Quader said, the government did not call us on reforms. There was no discussion with us regarding reforms. If there is a discussion with us, we will say this: Publish the reform proposals. Those who form the government after the elections will take the final decision on reforms. Our advice is not to start reforms now.
He also said, accusing someone does not make them guilty. All parties should be allowed to do politics in front of the people. The country is going in a bad direction now. The condition of the people is not good. Elections must be held with the participation of all political parties. Will we continue to agitate? Then where will the country go?
