A press conference was held on the utility and advantages of call center ‘333’ on Wednesday (Sept.18) at the conference room of Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Faridpur. The conference was organized by district administration.
DC Atul Sarkar addressing the local press men informed to that to build digital Bangladesh and to reach the services at the door steps of the people the central information, service, problems and its remedies, the government with assistance of cabinet division, information and communication technology division, USAID and UNDP, the A2i conducted call center ‘333’ has been introduced across the country.
On April 12 of 2108 the Prime Minister’s Adviser on Information and Technology Sajib Ahmed Wajed inaugurated the call center, the DC said.
DC Atul Sarkar said that to spread this initiative of the government the district administrations have been involved. DC urged upon the press men to create awareness among the people about this call center.
Atul Sarkar informed and told the journalists that the administration wants to know the true pictures about the ills of the society. ‘We want to know about incidents the crimes, drug menace and child marriage and curse of dowry and particularly about the climatic hazards. If any body informs us about this or any other irregularities through calling ‘333’ then it will be entertained keeping the identity of the informer secret,’ he said.
He further said that the complainant eve send him SMS about the wrongful activities of any individual either official or private he or they will be dealt with accordingly.
DC was assisted by ADC (Gen) Roksana Rahman. A good number of local journalists were present in the conference.
