Referring to Narayanganj, which holds many important events in the history of independence, the Prime Minister said, when Bangabandhu announced the 6- points, on May 8, he held a large public meeting at Adamji in Narayanganj. Commenting that no people of Bangladesh will be landless and homeless, she said, we are making houses for people. Today 33 districts are free from landless families. We will do the rest.
The Prime Minister said, we have given 2 plots of land and houses to about 8 lakh 41 thousand families free of charge. We have provided loans to people. I have made good arrangements for old age and widow allowance. We have increased maternity leave and arranged for the good health of mother and child. Our food security has reached from village to village.
Earlier, Sheikh Hasina attended the last public meeting in Narayanganj for the 12th Jatiya Sangsad elections at 3:20 pm. After 10 years, she visited Narayanganj for an election campaign.
