Awami League General Secretary, Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader urged everyone to be aware and vigilant to prevent coronavirus infection.

‘Corona infection and spread are increasing day by day’, he said. The number of deaths is also climbing. We are now in 10th place in terms of new infections or patient growth. In terms of the total number of infected Bangladesh ranks 17th.

He made the remarks in a video message from his official residence on Monday (June 15).
Obaidul Quader said, meanwhile national level leader Mohammad Nasim, Minister of State for Religious Affairs Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah, former mayor of Sylhet Badruddin Kamran and other leaders, academics, businessmen, people of other professions and large number of common people have died from corona infection.

He further said, ‘the daily condolence messages are of concern to the nation. Meanwhile, some people are hiding the infection. If the symptoms of corona are clear, they go around and do not get tested. It has done all the damage. The infection has spread. From a single irresponsible person hundreds are getting infected. With so many deaths, so many infections, we still do not understand. Even then we will not be careful. The High Court also has given instructions to avoid crowds. Yet our senses are not working. '

The Bridges minister said, the government is working day and night with various limitations. It is a pandemic that is sweeping across the world.

There is no alternative but it needs a stronger preventive measure, he said. If we do not understand the depth and level of danger, then it will be like jumping into the fire knowingly. I don't want to lose any more people. Momentary indifference, neglect of hygiene can lead to a lost path in life. Someone's slight negligence should not be the cause of death of hundreds of others. Get rid of the infection immediately. Let us live in isolation on my own initiative.
