Bangladesh loses by eight wickets in Chattagram Test

Pakistan needed 93 runs to win on the fifth and final day. The visitors reached the target by losing only two wickets. The Tigers started a new cycle of the World Test Championship losing by 8 wickets. Pakistan lost 2 wickets in the second innings and scored 203 runs.

Azhar Ali (24 *) and Babar Azam (13 *) did the rest while Abid Ali and Abdullah Shafiq laid the foundation for the victory. With this victory, the visitors went ahead 1-0 in the two-Test series.

Abid Ali was on his way to a century in batting. But the opener had to leave while he was 99 runs away from the century. Taizul Islam returned Abid for 91 runs.

Mehdi Hasan Miraj hit Pakistan's batting line-up on the fifth and final day of the Chattagram Test. Abdullah Shafiq's wicket deprived him of a century. The opener scored 83 runs before being adjudged LBW with the ball of Miraj.

Pakistan started the fifth and final day with 109 runs without losing a wicket in 33 overs. Abid had survived the previous day by 56 runs. And Abdullah Shafiq was accompanying him from unbeaten on 53 runs.

The Tigers were bowled out for 157 in 56.2 overs in the second innings. Bangladesh took a 201-run lead in the first Test against Pakistan with the bowling of Shaheen Shah Afridi, Sajid Khan and Hasan Ali.

Liton Das's century and Mushfiqur Rahim's fifty in the first innings made the capital of 330 runs. Pakistan were bowled out for 286 in 115.4 overs in the first innings of the first Test against Bangladesh at Taizul's Spin magic.
