Tamim quits international cricket with tears
Tamim Iqbal, the one-day captain of the Bangladesh team, retired from international cricket as if all the rumors were true.
Tamim bade farewell to all types of international cricket by holding a press conference at a Chattogram hotel on Thursday.
34-year-old Tamim retired from international T20 on July 16 last year. This time the best opener in the history of Bangladesh cricket announced his retirement from ODI and Test.
In the press conference, Tamim said 'I am retiring from international cricket from this moment today.'
Tamim thanked teammates, coaches, BCB, family and supporters for a long career of 16 years, 'All my teammates, all coaches, BCB officials, my family and those who have been by my side, have supported me in many ways, trusted me and my fans in this long journey of career. - Thank you to all the supporters, followers of Bangladesh Cricket. With the contribution and love of all of you, I have always tried to give my best for the country.
Earlier, on July 16, 2022, Tamim suddenly announced his decision to quit T20 cricket on social media. Since then, only Tests and ODIs have seen the left-handed opener at 22 yards.
