Shakib Al Hasan's dream of playing the last test match of his career on the soil of the country is not coming true. This star cricketer had to change his decision after coming to the Middle Eastern city of Dubai. Shakib was allowed to return to the country by the higher levels of the government.

Youth and Sports Adviser Asif Mahmood has now advised Shakib not to return to the country to 'avoid unpleasant situations'.

Before this, whether Shakib will return to the country or not, there has been confusion since last Wednesday night. Then Shakib told Sports Bangla that he is not returning to the country. This time he said, wherever from Dubai, he is not returning to the country.

Shakib had announced his intention to play the last Test of his career on home soil just before the Kanpur Test last month. But since then, there has been a lot of turmoil about his return to the country. He was also in the squad for the first Test of the series against South Africa. But after those dramas, it became known that Shakib's dream is not coming true.

Asif Mahmud, Adviser to the Sports Ministry, said on Thursday that he advised Shakib not to come to the country. The sports adviser said, 'I myself have wanted a cricketer like Shakib Al Hasan to retire on the soil of the country. Necessary measures were taken accordingly. However, I said at the outset that there is anger in the public mind due to Shakib Al Hasan's association with the Awami fascist government, which is normal. He posted Facebook posts to quell public anger; including clarifying his political stance, but recent protests have shown that it was not enough. Those protesting also have a constitutional right to do so. In order to avoid any untoward situation in the series between South Africa and Bangladesh, BCB has to advise against coming to play in the country for the time being.

The sports adviser also said, 'This decision has to be taken as an urgent measure to protect the image of the country in the international sports arena along with the safety of the players. But I think everyone should respect the law. If there is any complaint, it can be resolved by resorting to legal process.

The reason for this situation of Shakib is his political identity. He became a Member of Parliament of Awami League from Magura-1 Constituency in the 12th National Parliament Election. After the fall of the Sheikh Hasina government on August 5, a murder case was filed against Shakib.

Before that, Shakib was out of the country. Since the fall of the government and the filing of the case, Shakib has not returned to the country.
