BCB surprised by ultimatum, not by demands
Top officials of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) says they are surprised at the ‘ultimatum’ by the cricketers of not taking part in any form of cricket for their demands, without sitting with the board regarding these issues.

Also Jalal Yunus, a long time director of BCB, suggested the cricketers could go for a strike if no consensus could be reached through discussing the matters, adding that he was not shocked to see the demands however surprised by their ultimatum.
BCB officials including its president Nazmul Hasan Papon sat in a meeting within one hour of cricketers’ press conference with 11-point demands Monday afternoon.
After the meeting at Beximco, several officials of the country’s cricket control board admitted the demands raised by the cricketers were not unjustified, however, the board officials had not been quite ready to accept the ultimatum.
Jalal Yunus, who is also the media committee chairman of the board, said, ‘I have read all their points attentively. All of them have logic, but the ultimatum they declared seems to be just a threat. They could have come up with the intent of talking instead of threatening. Now this turns out to be blackmailing which may destabilize the cricketing scene.’
