All became quiet in the country’s cricket arena after a storm that shook the whole cricket world including the very mighty cricket board of Bangladesh. The three-day movement and strike unknown to this area left some undeletable ‘scar’. This scar is very much visible in open eyes does not need any third eye.

This sudden burst of the cricketers really has upset many equations.

BCB Chief Nazmul Hassan Papon blessed with unbounded power phoned Mehedy Hassan Miraj who in response refused to talk with his boss though the saved number is very much familiar to him.

Why only Miraj?

Sakib, Mahmuddullah, Mushfiq – none did not respond to any one either of president or of any other controlling bosses. This stalemate continued from Monday afternoon (Oct. 21) to October 23 evening. From Monday noon to Wednesday night there was a different type of match outside the known cricket ground! But there was no fight of bat or ball.

But there were two rival teams in the match. The play was between players versus BCB. In three days ‘match’ played for 72 hours it is to be calculated who won or who lost?

That calculation is still going on. Bangladesh cricket is now busy with the outcome of win-loss remnant of sound. Though the victorious are seemed to be instant happy but definitely is worried for future days. While the defeated party though laughing in dry face with much pain but contemplating to avenge this defeat waiting for time.

So this ‘peace treaty’ is not giving any peace message to country’s cricket.

The attacking reaction BCB has shown over the commercial pact of Sakib with Grameen Phone (GP) clearly indicates that the battle is still alive. The war is not over despite the ‘peace treaty’. But we must keep in mind that in this unnecessary battle worst sufferer will be country’s cricket!

BCB has accepted the 9 points charter of demands in only one sitting out of 13 demands. The cricketers have returned to field. Though there are some difference of opinion among the masses over the demands of the players but the board it self has admitted its rationality. So this has been proved that the players did not raise any faulty demand.

The unarmed cricketers of our country can declare virtually war against the powerful cricket board –this was beyond thinking. But the cricketers have done that.

There is no doubt that in this uneven battle the board not only conceded total defeat but it was also revealed that BCB is in utter institutional crisis and suffering from indecisions. The people have also lost confidence on BCB’s activities.

Accountability is a mandatory condition for the dynamism of any institution. Unaccounted expenses for luxury is a go of the day in BCB. Not the cricketers but the officials are on priority. The misuse of power being board member, feudalistic attitude of the board members leading to dictatorial rule. Enjoying oneself big man of charity with others wealth. To use the influence of the board for business interests and for gaining extra social status. To give the grass root crickets a label of institutional corruption. Even doing double business in purchasing cricket balls for the first class cricket!

Casino scandal has added an extra feather to the glorious activities of the board members! The so called beautiful appearance has been painted with permanent black paint –making the appearance very dirty.

BCB must come out from this crisis very rapidly. As the guardian organization of Bangladesh cricket they must take necessary measures to regain the confidence of the cricketers and also the millions of cricket lovers of the country and also of abroad.

The cricketers have also similar responsibilities. Firstly, they must perform in the field. Secondly they must take a lead role for reorganizing an effective COAB.

In the ground for making big innings, big partnership is necessary. Now the BCB and the cricketers must build up a big and confident partnership. If there is no understanding between two batsmen of the two ends, then run out is certain. So none should look behind on the recently played ‘non-cricket’ match. Now time has come to wipe out the misunderstanding to march forward. If the fight is on amongst own selves, then the energy will be exhausted for playing in the 22 yard’s cricket!

Reputed cricket coach Jalal Ahmed Chowdhury with a heavy heart has commented in his face book page that ‘the rhythm of our cricket orchestra is getting lost often. All instruments are not sounding in a same rhythm. It is giving disturbed sound and pains to the masses. We need a clean and skilled music director in this shady hour.’

Wise men said that the relation has no natural death, but the ego is murdered by misbehave and by the blunt knife of ignorance!
