The American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham), Bangladesh in association with Masthead PR has taken an initiative to recognize and to honor the valiant frontline and business who used their mite during the current COVID-19 pandemic.
In a press release of AmCham it was told, the elite business club would confer prestigious award titled ‘AmCham Frontline Journalism Award’.
AmCham observed that during corona pandemic media undoubtedly have always played a vital role in the battle against any national crisis even during lockdown period the journalists served the people with latest news and happenings.
A selection committee of AmCham will asses the performances of the journalists and will make the final selection. The winners will be awarded with designed plaques, an honorarium and a certificate.
In the press release it has been requested to media houses to nominate two reporters for the award. It was further mentioned that the nominated reporter's work must cover two perspectives: a) Impact of Coronavirus in the business sector and b) Impact of Corona on lives and livelihoods.
News reporting period should be from March 1 to August 31, the press release mentioned.
The deadline of submitting the materials has been fixed on September 6, 2020
