Minister of Environment, Forests and Climate Change Shahab Uddin has been infected with Covid-19. He is now being treated at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH).
Dipankar Bar, public relations officer at the Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change, confirmed the information on Wednesday (August 12).
He said the Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) last Tuesday (August 11) tested a sample of the minister with the symptoms of Covid-19. His test result came positive on Wednesday afternoon. He was admitted to CMH on the instructions of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Minister Shahbuddin has sought the blessings of the countrymen for his early recovery.
