The inquiry committee has organized a public hearing of the eyewitnesses in the case of the killing of former army officer Sinha Mohammad Rashed Khan in Teknaf in police firing.
This information was given in a public notification on Wednesday (August 12), signed by Cox's Bazaar Additional District Magistrate Shahjahan Ali who is also the member of the Inquiry Committee relating to Retired Major Sinha Mohammad Rashed Khan murder by police.
Retired Major Sinha Rashed Khan was shot dead by police at a check post on Marine Drive in Sonapur area of Teknaf upazila in Cox's Bazar district at around 9pm on July 31, the notification said.
In the interest of proper investigation of the incident, the inquiry committee has organized a public hearing on Sunday (August 16) at 10 am at the office of the camp in-charge (CSC) of the Rohingya camp in Shamlapur.
Eyewitnesses have been requested to testify at the scheduled time and date.
